Mission Zambia

Stacy and I would like to extend to you our most sincere thanks for your support in our Gospelink Mission endeavors in the country of Zambia, East Africa for 2006 and 2007. Both journeys were spiritually amazing. We would like to share some insight with you as to why we have become so involved in this particular mission endeavor. Particularly, Zambia in East Africa. On January 21, 2005, our 17 year old daughter, Michelle, was called Home to be with our Heavenly Father after an automobile accident. Shortly thereafter we became aware Michelle had signed to go on the mission trip in 2005. With the knowledge of Michelle's desire to participate through this particular mission endeavor, and after conferring with Pastor Jack Weight with The Church of Living Water, Prattville, Al., we, as a family, made a life altering decision.

In June 2006, we, as family, (Stacy, myself, Nicole age 13, Trey age 17, at the time), fulfilled Michelle's mission dream with our family memorial missionary trip we made in her honor. What we witnessed on that trip Michelle could never have put into words! The harshness of life as we have never seen here in Alabama or America. Poverty, hopelessness because of the environment, lawlessness, the devastation of aids, no financial resources, non-Christian culture. Oprah Winfrey was quoted speaking about the children in Africa "the hopelessness could be seen in the children's eyes and souls. Here in America we have social nets provided for by the government, there they have nothing." Even we cannot find the words to put into clear understanding of what we witnessed as we went to the orphanages, hospitals, schools and communities sharing the good news, Jesus came for ALL. And through the Gospelink Mission goals, meeting physical needs as well.

It is so amazing for us to see how God has, and is still using such a tragic life experience for our family For His Glory and His People wherever they are! We feel the need to continue fulfilling Michelle's desired mission before God called her home. In and through this mission work we are truly blessed.

Please continue to pray for our family as we continually adjust to our precious Loss and as we seek God's Devine Will in our lives.
